Admittedly, the first time I watched this, I wasn't enamored by it. In contrast to the epic nature of the Batman movies and the depth of The Prestige, it was hard to say that this had merit. Leaving the theater that night, I even denied that it was all that great, but continued to discuss the concepts introduced in the film with my brother and a friend.

Over time, I've found myself returning to this movie again and again and again, always interested in watching every moment. Nolan shines when he can sink his teeth into mechanics, and that made this the perfect project for him.

Using the platform of people who can build worlds, he built his world! Nolan, as a world-builder gives the impression that he knows exactly how each mechanic works and its level of mastery. His success is realized when you and I, the viewers, think about what we saw and what the possibilities and ramifications are for the characters.

Nolan masterfully navigated the idea of a dream and reminded us all what an original movie should look like. I rate this 5 stars as it truly never gets old, but gets better each time I watch it.
