Riveting performances by both leads carry this film. It borders on brilliance, but as the RT review says, is nipped by melodrama and coincidence. But, it has a point, is gorgeously filmed, and incredibly thought provoking.
Canada has now officially given us more than just syrup, beavers, and Bryan Adams!
