Review of Incendies (2010) by Justin M — 24 Feb 2012
From the outset the movie starts with the reading of a mothers will to two of her children asking they don't label the tombstone of her grave. Unless they can locate they're other brother, that nobody knew about until that moment.
Interesting stuff. So off on a journey we go. Covering the globe, with many intertwined stories of loss, pain, and family. With a non linear format and a few different languages being used you have to pay attention.
With a somewhat weak ending I feel a bit let down but I did enjoy getting to know the characters which is more than I can say about some other movies.
