Review of Incendies (2010) by Sohel A — 26 Jun 2012
Incendies is not a common-man's film, it takes us to a not so known terrain... not physical, psychological... it begs us to shed our religious garbs and for once think as a human... it tells us what religious war does to people.
.. specifically men, who are responsible for it... Incendies shows how men make women their pawn and revisits the horrors of the children of war (i..e. children born during and as a result of war)... it's not a human-drama, it should rather be categorized as a unusual kind of Horror.
. which exposes the futility and the trauma of war to dozens of people living a peaceful life...
