Review of Incendiary (2008) by Toby E — 25 Sep 2009
Woefully misjudged drama about a terrorist attack on Arsenal stadium, with a good central performance by Michelle Williams (sporting a passable east end accent), but flanked by stupid, unrealistic characters played by Ewan McGregor and Matthew MacFadyen.
The dear Osama letters, the overwrought emotional loss... it all adds nothing, and the dialogue is clunky and embarassing at times. Which is a shame, because there is a good film to be made about terrorism in London.
This film isn't it.
