Review of Incarnate (2016) by Kevin K — 18 Apr 2017
*Some spoilers*.
I've seen the troubled protagonist seeking revenge against something supernatural for killing his family trope many times before so it wasn't all that engaging of a film. I liked the choice for the main character though. Other than that, all the other characters were pretty forgettable acting and character-wise.
About all liked was the concept of the film: that demons are just parasites that ensnare their hosts in a seemingly real illusion and that main character has the ability to enter that illusion and break them out of it. It's a cool concept and I feel more could have been done with it as far as twist, turns, and mindblowingness.
