Review of In Your Eyes (2014) by Late R — 14 Feb 2018
It's a little too long and because they decided to go with more of a Romance angle as opposed to the Sci-fi one you might expect, there was only so much they could do with the idea before it started to feel repetitive.
Concentrating on its characters, their relationship and how they deal with their new-found connection as it begins to have an impact on their lives, 'In Your Eyes' is more of a character-driven affair than anything else and, as such, relies heavily on its two leads.
Luckily, they are very likeably played by Kazan and Stahl-David making it easy for the audience to root for them. It doesn't do much that is particularly surprising and they didn't make the most of its interesting concept, but that doesn't mean it isn't a sweet and romantic film that plays to its strengths in all the right places.
