Review of In Time (2011) by Abhinay M — 16 Sep 2012
What started off as a very interesting premise turned out to be a movie struggling to 'fit in' to several established genres. It really suffered from an identity crisis, with the focus on the dystopia and the effects of an ultra-capitalistic world, giving way to a robin-hood-esque story, which then tries to turn into a heist film, all the while trying to go back to its initial premise of exploring this strange dystopia.
All in all, a waste of a very good idea, and a disappointment from Andrew Niccol, given what a fantastic job he did with Gattaca.
