If we can't stop one man from killing us, we should kill ourselves.
In the future you stop aging at 25 and only have one year left to live. You can buy/earn additional points to extend your life. So most people who are rich could potentially live forever, but the poor will do anything for money to make ends meet. Will Salas is a kid that struggles to get by that gets tied up in a situation with his friend. He ends up being wanted for murder and kidnapping and is being chased. While running he looks for a way to break the system.
"I just want to wake up with more time on my wrist than hours in the day.".
Andrew Niccol, director of Gattaca, S1m0ne, Lord of War, and The Host, delivers In Time. The storyline for this picture was a bit stale and felt like a ppor man's Logan's Run or The Island. The action scenes were pretty good but the acting was just okay. The cast includes Justin Timberlake, Colin McGurk, Aaron Perilo, Laura Ashley Samuels, and Amanda Seyfried.
"If everyone could live forever, where would we put them?".
I DVR'd this film off FXX because I remembered liking the trailers for this. I was very disappointed with the execution of this film. It was erratically paced and the storyline was fairly mediocre. Overall, this is a film that had potential but falls flat. I wouldn't go out of my way to see this.
