Review of In Time (2005) by Angel G — 22 Aug 2012
In Time has an interesting story, with a great idea, a solid cast with nice performances and great direction. I really like the idea that "In Time" uses time instead of money, and if you don't have enough time, you die (specifically the poor, the rich can live forever).
For example, you have 2 days and 4 hours to live, then you buy a coffee which costs 3 hours, then you have 2 days and 1 hour to live, I liked that idea. I thought Justin Timberlake has gotten better and did a great job with his role, and Amanda Seyfried also did a great job.
I think who stole the show were Cillian Murphy and Alex Pettyfer, Cillian had a much more police-evil cop way, while Alex had that sleazy-evil jerk way, and they both played them really well. Yeah, In Time's script sometimes doesn't work, but I think the performances, the cast and its interesting idea can make this movie enjoyable enough.
