Review of In Time (2005) by Daniel V — 02 Sep 2012
Better than I thought it would be but started out as I thought it would. Lemme splain', I didn't think to much of this when it came out because it reminded me of Gattaca(also by Andrew Niccol) a bit, I movie I know people love, but I myself have always been underwhelmed by it.
I don't think it's bad, just didn't live up to my expectations. Same could be said about this one, at least in the first hour. The second hour I unexpectedly enjoyed the hell out of. I was losing interest and then all of sudden I was hooked.
Timberlake gains a confidence in the second half that is pretty addicting and you latch on to him til the end. This is Logan's Run slash Bonnie and Clyde slash Robin Hood sort of Philip K Dickish type of hybrid.
Not bad JT and AN, not bad.
