Review of In Time (2005) by Dr. F P — 16 Mar 2013
I was hesitant at first about seeing this, namely because of the inclusion of Justin Timberlake. Well it turned out he wasn't that bad of an actor, and i've seen terrible acting. It explores the fantastical state of a dystopian future, where the poor will literally die because currency is life.
This concept is a pretty spectacular premise, in my eyes, and yet it wasn't executed to the full extent I think it could have been. Cillian Murphy as always gives a brilliant performance, as a the antagonist type and I can't help but think the movie would have been better if it was just him tearing up the road like a badass in envy inducing retro-futuristic muscle cars whilst chasing down corrupted government officials and their Mafioso friends.
I guess that's a bit cliche though...
