Review of In Time (2005) by Julie S — 07 Dec 2013
Timberlake is a solid actor, which is not common for musical artists who attempt to make the crossover. The story starts out interesting, but throughout the whole thing I was crunching numbers and discovering the math really doesn't add up (I'm not obsessive; the story really does revolve around these numbers making sense).
Later in the plot, the issue of stealing from the rich and giving to the poor not being a permanent solution to wealth disparity gets brought up, and goes completely unresolved. At this point, the story is like a huge vehicle just crashing into a brick wall called Logic and exploding into flames.
This is one plot hole you can't sweep under the rug. Even so, I give it 3 stars because it is still entertaining throughout.
