Review of In the Valley of Elah (2007) by Philipp W — 19 Nov 2008
After 2 hours of movie I asked myself: What do you want to tell me? That every soldier that was in Iraq is a psycho? And why does this message need to show so much brutality and nudity in such a excessive way?
I appreciated that the movie shows that war isn't a place for heroes, but that it has a deep influence on the souls of these young soldiers. But that's about it and for this message I prefer "flag of our fathers".
