Review of In the Valley of Elah (2007) by Brad S — 23 Mar 2009
Good, solid bit of a film-making with outstanding performance from Tommy Lee Jones as a retired military man investigating his son's disappearance after his return from Iraq. This turns out to be a well-made, thought-provoking thriller.
Overshadowed by the other big films of 2007/8: in a leaner year TLJ could well have garnered an oscar for his performance here.
