Review of In the Valley of Elah (2007) by Timothy F — 03 Jun 2009
An interesting combination of war drama and murder mystery that, unfortunately, gets a bit bogged down by the weight of its subjects. The willingness of the film to explore the turmoil and emotional baggage that accompanies soldiers home from their battles in war and to do so in an apolitical way is remarkable.
Tommy Lee Jones' performance was top notch.
