Review of In the Valley of Elah (2007) by Mike S — 11 Feb 2013

What started out as an emotional and intriguing murder mystery, ends as one big political statement that's so heavy handed I felt like I'd been sucker punched in the rectum. Great acting and cool cameos throughout, even Haggis' direction played a subtle but effective role.

I just can't stand it when a movie turns into massive diarrhea propaganda. It's fine to let your film have a message but please don't shove it down my throat at the expense of the story, even if it's an issue I agree with.
