Review of In the Valley of Elah (2007) by Lasse C — 18 Jan 2009
A very pleasant surprise and a very hard movie. It is superbly written and acted and easily surpasses Haggis' first directorial venture. First off the movie would be nothing without Tommy Lee Jones who gives perhaps the best performance of his career, so far.
The film is not easy to watch and you need to have your wits with you if you want to be able to keep up but if you manage that you are in for a great movie.
