Review of In the Valley of Elah (2007) by Dion C — 19 Jun 2009
One of the better (American) movies I've seen that deals specifically with the war in Iraq -- Jones is good as the extremely controlled ex-MP that has had to sacrifice both his sons to the military.
Granted, it is probably a role he could do sleeping. However, it deals with a macho world in a macho way -- the only female character of note is Theron and she does her best to be one of the guys. Why they wasted Sarandon on like five minutes of screen time is beyond me.
