Still banned in Japan. Its sexually graphic....arthouse porn with a great storyline based on how far a sexual relationship can go, how many taboo's can be broken, how far can it lead and what is the ultimate conclusion.
And very daring and shocking for its time.
There is a follow up to this film called 'In The Realm Of Passion'...
