Not a recommendation for a first date unless you met your date online in The New Yorker personal ads. Lots of sex, shocking moments and equally shocking dialogue make this film pretty unforgettable.
The Criterion Blu-Ray is amazing though. The supplements are all really interesting especially the interview with Tatsuya Fuji. Plus the film transfer is just gorgeous, the skin tones and brightly colored clothing all look amazing.
Recommended if you want something abrasive.
