Review of In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale (2007) by Daniel B — 25 Jan 2009
First of all, I think this movie was trying way too hard to be like "The Lord of the Rings". In comparison, the "The Lord of the Rings" is like a super drug and In the Name of the King, is like a cheap generic drug.
Also, the movie was way too long. Jason Statham is probably known for his martial arts but not his acting and I'll always refer him to the Transporter. And this whole thing with Burt Reynolds as the king was extremely painful.
And to top this crazy movie was those queer girls flying through the trees on their vines. Oh and another thing that made this movie annoying was the fact that they were having their major battles in the middle of the forest and shooting their arrows through the trees and hitting their target.
And another thing, is who calls a person "the Farmer" all their lives without giving him an acutal name?
