I agree with most other reviews on this movie, Uwe Boll should stop it and stop it now! How he manages to raise any sort of budget for his films never mind attracting well known actors is beyond me. This undoubtedly suffers like all his prior films from dire scripting, (especially 'direlogue'), shonky directing, endless pointless battles, scenes that are just laughably heavy handed and truly awful performances from some well known actors.

Especially an OTT (and just plain terrible) Ray Liotta, Matthew Lillard (who despite doing a good Shaggy impression I've always thought was a terrible actor), and the turning-up-for-the-paycheck performances of Claire Forlani, Burt Reynolds and to some degree Ron Perlman.

Statham is good as the hero but he's made a career playing these sort of roles. As usual he brings his gruff voice and martial arts skills to the fore in a role that has been seen and done in hundreds of movies previously.

This Lord of the Rings rip off may entertain kids but despite being Boll's most watchable film (and yes I'll even admit it some nice shots in places) his entire lack of talent for story telling spoils what little promise this film ever had and at two hours nearly, you'll feel like you could have been doing something much more useful with your life, like doing a review on Facebook to warn other people.
