Review of In the Name of the Father (1993) by Annelies S — 01 Aug 2009
Outstanding performances of both Daniel Day-Lewis & Pete Postlethwaite.
Terrible piece of history. One keeps wondering how it is possible that even today certain right-wing government members think so highly of themselves and have so much pride that they have so many difficulties to admit they made a mistake? One also wonders which fate was worse: to be killed in a pub by a bomb or to be arrested and spending fifteen years in jail innocently and eventually die in jail.
The answer will be different depending on the person being asked. I find it hard to answer anyway.
It's a must see movie!
