Review of In the Name of the Father (1993) by Eric H — 27 Feb 2013
A very hard hitting Biopic about a person or his family suffering by dictating mentality of a reputed old civilized country under the pressure of capturing and relocating the peace of their Mainland, against those radical movements of the Irish freedom fighters,if there is only way to justify all those actions by Great Britain impartially.
But honestly this film is not about the freedom fighters movement, it's a film on journey of a father and son, their disturbed relationship, about the finding of son's soul himself under the backdrop of all those political unrest. And this job is successfully pulled out by Day-Lewis and Postlethwaite,in a honorable mention.
Very passionate in making, linearly described by the storyline and directed intelligently specially at the final courtroom sequence.
