Jim Sheridan's film about the unlawful imprisonment of suspected IRA bomber Gerry Conlon is riveting and unforgettable. Day-Lewis, Postlethwaite, and Thompson all turn in compelling performances, and Sheridan expertly weaves together flashbacks, prison scenes, and courtroom scenes to tell a story that still should be heard.
