Review of In the Mouth of Madness (1995) by Aaron R — 06 Feb 2008
A Carpenter film that gets panned more often than it should, this is a dark movie that pays homage to Lovecraft. Sam Neill is wonderful as the main character, Prochnow works well as the author set opposite to Neill and the female lead is fine, but somewhat interchangeable.
The camera work and effects set the moods best, and they are wonderfully creepy.
