Review of In the Mouth of Madness (1995) by Jams G — 10 Jun 2009
In terms of basic ideas this movie has some promising points to it, but its wrecked by a sub-par script, plot, soundtrack, and some of the visuals and performances could have been better aswell (although some were actually not too bad). Basically this movie didnt really seem to know whether or not it wanted to be a phycological thriller, or a B-movie horror, and ended up being a bit of both as well as slightly incoheirant quite alot of the time.
I really like the basic idea, writer becomes god and rains down a plague of madness upon humanity... shame about the actual movie though.
