Review of In the Mouth of Madness (1995) by Steve H — 15 Jan 2010
Had a chance to revisit this film recently and while some films don't age well this is the exact opposite. John Carpenter has made some of my favourite flicks - this one, The Thing, Escape From New York and Big Trouble in Little China just off the top of my head.
This flick still stands up today, freaky and quirky with a great performance from Sam Neill - my only gripes being his characters reluctance to face what's going on and the female leads performance but all in all this is one to avoid watching alone with the lights off! Also I feel that 'Sutter Caine Lunchbox' is the name for my next musical project, can't get much better than that! Do YOU read Sutter Caine? I know I sure do!
