Review of In the Mouth of Madness (1995) by Matthew C — 15 Mar 2011
Though not based on a specific story, this is one of the better H.P. Lovecraft inspired films to date. It plays both with the concepts of cosmic horror, and with the phenomenon of an author's cult-like popularity.
Sam Neill is excellent as the man trying to find the truth, in spite of the horrors it might bring. A must for fans of the director, or for Lovecraft.
