Review of In the Mouth of Madness (1995) by Zoran S — 06 May 2011
One of the strangest films I've ever seen. John Carpenter directs a film where Sam Neill uncovers a conspiracy whereby he's a fictional character within an amalgamation of Stephen King and H.P. Lovecraft's new book -as are everyone on Earth. Should anybody read this book, they go completely insane. This leads to a bizarre apocalyptic scenario with some people running around killing others with axes and ancient Gods running around eating others.
For its many, many flaws, it's quite entertaining and has a lot of nice moments and ideas.
6/10.
