Review of In the Mouth of Madness (1995) by Mark W — 13 Apr 2013
This is my kind of horror movie - an intellectual horror movie (Although honestly not overly scary in itself). The special effects are not amazing, and it is not without it's flaws. But Sam Neil plays a great character and does a great job being the cynic that doubts everyone and everything.
The premise is interesting and when you finally understand what is going on - it is actually quite clever. I think that this movie could be reworked with new special effects very effectively for the modern age.
Not for everyone - but worth a look.
