Review of In the Mouth of Madness (1995) by Faisal A — 08 Jul 2013
Kudos for the impressive creature effects and flashes of gruesome, surreal imagery. It is, as the title suggests, not entirely comprehensible; at times it is boring and it feels like it has enormous potential which never comes to fruition.
Yet I have a soft spot for these types of movies, where the protagonist and viewer have no idea what is truly real. I only wish it were more engaging.
