Review of In the Mood for Love (2000) by Mattias E — 05 Jan 2010
Interestingly enough, In The Mood For Love points in quite another direction stylistically than previous Wong classics, it even has a different rhythm to it, which makes credit almost certainly due to co-cinematographer Lee Ping Bin, whose soothing camerawork differs largely from Chris Doyles and who even made Jay Chous movie look classy.
Then there's the designs and editing of William Chang of course, and the classy acting of Maggie Cheung and Tony Leung, all of it contributing to the beauty which makes In The Mood For Love a movie that demands to be seen again and again.
