Review of In the Mood for Love (2000) by Steve W — 11 Nov 2011
This Chinese movie has made the top 10 list of many movie critics, and after watching it, it's not hard to see why. Nearly everything was excellent. The acting, the script, the direction, the cinematography, and so on.
It's like watching a painting in motion. I especially have to give props to the two lead actors, Tony Leung and Maggie Cheung. Both are superb actors, although Maggie really stole the show. I love when actors can convey emotions and thoughts without any words spoken.
Concerning the director, Wong Kar Wai, I really can't say any more good things about him. He is a master of romantic films.
