Review of In the Loop (2009) by Hamad S — 10 May 2011
Who knew that working in government could be so much fun? Most of the performers do a great job, especially Peter Capaldi (invoking the British version of Rahm Emanuel?), but Paul Higgins as his underling goes a bit over the top and is unconvincing.
Likewise, the depiction of politics and the cynicism that comes with it is a bit overplayed in the script, making the production too well-done, and a bit inedible.
