Review of In the Loop (2009) by Rick F — 05 Sep 2012
This is a tremendous political satire. It pretty much clicks, while not a perfect movie, on a lot of levels. It's got a tremendous script and a hilarious cast. Peter Capaldi is the show-stealer as foul-mouthed (believe me when I say foul-mouthed) Malcolm.
He's believable in the sense he seems to be right on the verge of a heart-attack with the way he is and how angry he gets. That being said, it's not like there are any weak links in the cast, because I can't really think of any actually.
Unfortunately, since it is a political film, that means it has limited appeal, but I think it's definitely worth watching, it's a very funny film that also makes you think at the same time so there you go.
Not a lot to say, and a shitty review, but I greatly enjoyed this film.
