Review of In the Loop (2009) by Gavin P — 06 Jul 2013
Excellent parody of politics, specifically between allies! It's pretty much 'The Office', with unwitting British politicians that are somehow roped into the U.S. pro-war agenda. Reminded me a bit of 'The Hollowmen', the Australian political comedy TV series, which is a good thing.
Great cast, with Capaldi hilarious as the foul-mouthed British PM Spokesperson and Hollander as the dimwitted British MP. Very quick paced, with lots of great one-liners - truly subversive when they're at the U.
N. trying to avoid a war and Steve Coogan's calling about his brick wall back home possibly collapsing!
