In the Loop has been rated 18 for very strong language. There is persistent use of strong language (e.g. fuck) throughout the film, much of which is agressive in nature, however, all of this would have been acceptable at 15. There are also two uses of very strong language (e.g. cunt). While infrequent use of very strong language is usually permitted at 15, the agressive nature of it's use makes it unacceptable at a lower rating than 18.
There are also several strong sexual references, all of which would have been acceptable at 15.
