Review of In the Line of Fire (1993) by Praveen S — 28 Jun 2013
A suspense thriller...with superlative performances from Clint and Malkovich. Though it moves along a predictable plotline with a few Hollywoodian touches Wolfgang Peterson does full justice to the script and maintains the tension right through out and that is saying something in a movie with no bangs or action set pieces.
Clint does a fine performance as secret service detail with a troubled past..but its Malkovich who steals the show for me, he gave the psychotic character that unnerving edge. A classic cat and mouse entertaining thriller.
.the scenes with clint and malkovich are alone worth it..and of course with clint's famous oneliners being the icing on the cake.
