Review of In the Line of Fire (1993) by D H — 01 Aug 2009
John Malkovich is the reason to watch this otherwise merely competently-done thriller. In hindsight this movie's mediocrity is a terrible portent of the downward spiral that Wolfgang Petersen's films were about to descend into.
Who could have thought that the director who gave us DAS BOOT and THE NEVERENDING STORY would be capable of cinematic turds like AIR FORCE ONE and TROY?
