Review of In the Land of Women (2007) by Amanda L — 29 Aug 2008
A great concept for a movie: disaffected young hipster guy moves from LA to Michigan to care for his grandma with alzheimer's. Once he gets there, scenes show him typing screenplays and taking walks with the photogenic Cougar neighbor-lady: 2 things that will absolutely NEVER happen if you are truly the full-time caregiver of another. It goes downhill from there and I'm sitting here trying to figure out how and why.
But I absolutely *adore* Adam Brody. He just needs better scripts, people!
