Review of In the Land of Women (2007) by Wendy S — 10 Jan 2009
Refreshing romantic story. Loved the Meg Ryan/ Adam Brody conversations during the dog walks, and the scenes with the Grandma in discussing her death, and departure in a Ziploc! haha. Real, funny writing, conversational quips and overall self exploration.
This movie surprised me, because I generally don't like Adam Brody...he usually plays a whiney surface L.A. character... and he's from L.A., but definately has some substance to him in this. (loved the "listener" part.
.. by the end he actually seems a bit better at it... don't you think? ;).
