Throw... whoever half these kids are with a Kirsten Stewart and a Meg Ryan (who know's what'd her story nowadays) into a pretty remarkably smart script and you've got an off beat gem, albeit not the greatest.
Compare to Garden State, Waitress and The Good Girl. I enjoyed the complexities of each character :).
