Review of In the Land of Women (2007) by Andrea W — 24 Apr 2009
A heartbroken twenty-something from LA comes to suburban Michigan to care for his grandma and changes the lives of a mother and daughter by being a good listener (and apparently, a good kisser.) Adam Brody carried the film with his charming appeal and boyish good looks.
Meg Ryan is always a favorite, but showed an understated conversational side that was really powerful to me. A fun one to watch on a quiet Saturday afternoon.
