I officially have a new respect for Angelina Jolie. This is a raw and poetic look at what drives people when they're forced to go to war and despite a few minor missteps involving her problematic central message (can you really make a statement about rape being used as a weapon of war when the main storyline involves a woman falling in love with her captor?), it's a promising debut.
