Review of In the Land of Blood and Honey (2011) by Laurin K — 29 Feb 2012
A hard film to watch, but not because it fails to do what it set out to do, but because it proves to be a sincere and passionate look at the victims in not only the Bosnian War, but in any war. The story Jolie tells here is important and is a bold choice for her first film.
Definitely worth seeing, but don't plan on taking your eyes off the screen or your hand off your mouth while you watch the horror that these people endure.
