Review of In the Land of Blood and Honey (2011) by Andrei D — 18 Mar 2012
I think the fact that Angelina Jolie wrote and directed this kind of tainted everyone's opinion of an otherwise decent film. Obviously biased (but really who cares, it's not a documentary) it focuses on a strained love story amidst the absolute horror and ethnic cleansing of the Yugoslav War.
Everyone should watch this, if only to see what happened there... the breakdown of a civil society, and how easily men can turn into monsters.
