Sadly, a very predictable and simplistic film which could have been much more. No surprise the Academy has ignored it. Simple in that all Serbs are "bad" and all Muslims are "victims".
Nothing could be further from the truth. That error ends up diluting this film to one of entertainment with no historical context or perspective. Too bad. The fact is that barbarity was endemic on all sides.
Especially amongst the Croats who murdered and raped with the best of them. the Bosnians were no different.
