Review of In the House (2012) by Florian S — 30 Dec 2012
Ozon only partially succeeded in marrying film and literature. The parts were we hear the student's literary observations via on offscreen voice are irritating. We SEE a family sit on the sofa, watch tv, eat pizza.
At the same time we HEAR the offscreen voice recount that a family is sitting on the sofa, watching tv and eating pizza. Boring. The acting of the middle class family is good. The character of the student is creepy, the acting less so.
